Lee Hsien Loong is the eldest son of Singapore’s former Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew
After entering politics at the age of 32 in 1984, he became Deputy Prime Minister of Singapore in 1990. In 2004, he followed in his father’s footsteps and was elected Prime Minister
Educated at the Catholic High School in Singapore, he was required to be skilled in both English and Mandarin. He proceeded to study Mathematics at Cambridge University in England from where he graduated with 1st class honours in 1974
