The Beatles land in Blackpool
AFTER A HARD DAY’S NIGHT, THE BEATLES FIND A NEW HOME AT MADAME TUSSAUDS BLACKPOOL
Yesterday the latest wax figures landed at Madame Tussauds Blackpool, not on a yellow submarine but on a jet-plane.
Wax figures of John, Ringo, Paul and George jetted into Blackpool International Airport from the London Studios where they were sculpted. The Beatles were snapped on the crossing of the airport tarmac in a scene reminiscent of beatlemania before taking up residence in the music room at Madame Tussauds Blackpool.
Beatles fans can see the recreation of the iconic Abbey Road album cover at the attraction and join the fab four on the zebra crossing themselves. These wax figures are exclusive to Blackpool and the new Tussauds attraction is the only place where fans can get up close and personal to their idols.
Taking four months to recreate and costing £150,000 each, the figures have been sculpted using photos of the fab four.
They will be joining other global superstars including Lady Gaga and Michael Jackson in the music room, just one of the areas on offer at the brand new attraction.
