The famed actor, director, author, singer was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and is one of the most well known stars working in television and films today. His distinctive voice has been the subject of many imitations, helping to contribute to his status as a pop icon.
The multi talented, Emmy Award-winning actor has also written numerous books, directed various television and film projects, and recorded several albums. He started his career as a child performer in radio programs for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and has appeared in over 200 television and film productions including such feature films as “Judgment at Nuremberg,” “Airplane II” and “Miss Congeniality” I and II.
Shatner has co-authored Star Trek Memories (1993) and Star Trek Movie Memories (1994) with Chris Kreski, Get a Life! (1999), and Up Till Now: The Autobiography (2008) with David Fisher.
In 1990, the entertainer created the Hollywood Charity Horse Show to benefit children’s charities.
