Tony Hawk
“I consider skateboarding an art form, a lifestyle and a sport”
- Tony Hawk is the most influential skateboarder of all time. Having won 73 out of the approximately 103 pro-competitions he’s entered, and placing second in 19 of these, he has the world's best record in skateboarding history
- Hawk started his career at the age of 12, turned pro at 14, and held the ‘World’s Best’ title by the time he was 16. His son, Riley (one of 4 children) is following in his father’s footsteps. He could skate at the age of 3 and by the age of 8 ½ he was already able to do shove-its, kickflips, heelflips, boardslides and 50-50's
- In addition to skateboarding, Hawk has worked on the best selling video game franchise of all time, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, as well as Hawk Clothing and two autobiographies; HAWK: Occupation: Skateboarder (2000) and Between Boardslides and Burnout: My Notes From the Road (2002)
- Born Anthony Frank Hawk on May 12, 1968 in San Diego, CA
