Barbie Hsu from movie “Future X Cops”
HONG KONG (December 31, 2009) Popular Taiwanese actress Babie Hsu flew in to Hong Kong to attend an event at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong today, announcing a wax figure will be made of her character, Holly, in the hit movie “Future X Cops”.
The movie “Future X Cops”, directed by the renowned Wong Jing and Tony Ching Siu Tong, also featuring cast members Andy Lau, Fan Bing Bing, Mike Hoand Xu Jiao,is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in Hong Kong on February 25, 2010. Barbie Hsu’s figure will portray the character of Holly and will wear the Police Force outfit in the movie.
“Barbie Hsu’s wax figure will be the first celebrity wax figure of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong in 2010. We are very delighted that Barbie will be joining this famous home of the famous and we look forward to unveiling her figure in the character of her upcoming film ‘Future X Cops’ in early February next year.”, said Bret Pidgeon, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Barbie is glad that her fans will be able to meet her in person in her movie character at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. She especially thanks Madame Tussauds Hong Kong for presenting her in this unique way.
Barbie’s sitting, which took three hours to complete, was conducted in Taipei middle of this year. The sitting was conducted by sculptors from Madame Tussauds’ London studio, taking hundreds of detailed measurements of Barbie’s face and body and photographs from every angle, to ensure the creative team would have all the information to produce the wax figure to perfection.
At the event today, Barbie made a hand print, which will be exhibited together with the wax figure in the World Premiere zone at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong early next year.
