Unveil the very first wax figure in 2012 – Asian heartthrob Ethan Juan

(Hong Kong – Jan 12, 2012) Today, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has unveiled very first wax figure addition in 2012 – famous actor and Asian heartthrob Ethan Juan.

Ethan's lifelike wax figure wears a tuxedo and bow tie, sits on a stool with lovely smile. During the unveiling ceremony, Ethan explained the reason for picking the costume, "I understand that everyone is very happy with my style at the Golden Horse Award ceremony, so I decided to use that for my figure. Also, receiving the Golden Horse Best Actor Award is a very important milestone in my career, it is the best way for me to thank my fans for their continuous support."

"I am very impressed how detailed the sitting was. I am used to being photographed and measured but this was something else entirely. Even my eyes were compared for colour and a cast of my teeth was taken," Ethan marveled.

In support to this event, Ethan also put on a tailored-made Madame Tussauds pin on his figure. He believes that the wax figure's presence will allow his fans from around the world to get up close and personal with "him" whenever they feel missing him.

"Ethan is an iconic idol in Asia and has starred in a number of popular movies, he even won Golden Horse Award. I'm sure his fans will feel right at home at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong as they will be very excited to have a close encounter with him here." Kelly Mak, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said.

The wax figure will be featured in “Hong Kong Glamour” alongside other celebrities from entertainment, fashion, film and TV such as Aaron Kwok, Brad Pitt, Hugh Grant, Michelle Yeoh, Meryl Streep.
