Li Bingbing in glamorous Oscar gown to join the A-List line-up at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
HONG KONG (August 27, 2012) Madame Tussauds Hong Kong announced that the one and only Chinese female celebrity who was invited to walk on the Oscar red carpet this year – Li Bingbing will become the first Mainland Chinese female celebrity wax figure to be housed at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Her wax double will then be seen in both attractions in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Spotlight is on Li Bingbing as New York Times also wrote in an article titled "All Eyes Turn to Li Bingbing". On the Oscar red carpet, Li Bingbing appeared in a gorgeous tailor-made gown in white by Georges Chakra. The dazzling dress features sequined feather-like flower petals and sexy sheer panels on the sides, revealing a perfect curve line mimicking that of a swan. This is the second time Li Bingbing appeared in designs by the talented Lebanese designer Georges Chakra since her last stunning red carpet look in his elegant Spring 2011 Couture gown at Cannes.
Li Bingbing flew over to London where she attended a 4-hour sitting procedure by the professional studio team. At the sitting, studio team member carefully took measurements and hundreds of photos of Li Bingbing, as well as sampling the color of her hair, eyes and teeth.
