Madame Tussauds - Hong Kong

The very first wax figure in 2012 – Asian heartthrob Ethan Juan

(Hong Kong – Jan 4, 2012) Today, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has announced their very first wax figure addition in 2012 – famous actor and Asian heartthrob Ethan Juan.

UK Studio team flew over to Taiwan to conduct the sitting with Ethan recently. Despite he was filming earlier, Ethan was in his usual good spirits and chatted with the sculptors freely. The sculpting team from UK was very impressed by Ethan’s professionalism and inquisitive nature, as he was by the intricacy of the tools they used and the talent they displayed.

“I am very impressed how detailed the sitting was. I am used to being photographed and measured but this was something else entirely. Even my eyes were compared for colour and a cast of my teeth was taken, “Ethan marveled.

During the measuring session, sculptors from Madame Tussauds took over 500 measurements of Ethan’s head and famous physique, before standing on a turntable to be photographed from every angle.

“It’s been my pleasure to be featured at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and this is definitely an important milestone in my life, but also give a booster in my career.” Ethan said. “I am looking forward to the day that I can ‘meet’ my double in person.”

“Ethan is an iconic idol in Asia and has starred in a number of popular movies, he even won Golden Horse Award. I’m sure his fans will feel right at home at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong as they will be very excited to have a close encounter with him here.” Kelly Mak, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong said.
