Unveiling the Arrival of the Fan Bingbing wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong
HONG KONG (February 19, 2012) Today, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is pleased to announce that it has unveiled the wax figure of the award-winning Chinese actress Fan Bingbing during a special event held at Times Square, Hong Kong. To commemorate this special occasion, the beautiful actress from TVB, Ms. Samantha Ko, was invited as the officiating guest.
Joining Ms. Samantha Ko on stage, Mr. Tommy Li, Chairman of Quality Tourism Services Association (QTSA) and Ms. Kelly Mak, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong jointly unveiled the wax figure of Ms. Fan Bingbing. With her roles in the award-winning “Bodyguards and Assassins”, “Shaolin”, ”The Founding of a Party” and “Sacrifice”, Fan Bingbing quickly rose to stardom in China and became one of the most popular actresses in the region. Her talent was also recognized when she received the Best Actress Award for her role in “Buddha Mountain” at the 23rd Tokyo International Film Festival in 2010 as well as the 18th Beijing College Student Film Festival in 2011.
Fan Bingbing’s wax figure is styled in the same elegant dragon robe in which she wore to the 2010 Cannes Film Festival and generously donated after. On loan for the next two months (starting from today until April 15) from Madame Tussauds Shanghai, don't miss the special opportunity to see the Fan Bingbing figure which will be exhibited at the Hong Kong Glamour zone.
