Barack Hussein Obama II is the first African-American to be elected President of the United States and is the forty-fourth president.
Obama is a graduate of both Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the first African-American editor of the Harvard Law Review. He has worked as a community organizer, practiced as a civil rights attorney and has also taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School.
