Obama is a graduate of both Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the first African-American editor of the Harvard Law Review.     National Convention and this widely broadens his popularity and fame
  • 2007: Announces his run for the Democratic Nomination for President of the United States
  • 2008: Wins the bid for Democratic Nomination for President
    Elected President of the United States on November 4
  • 2009: January 20 – Inauguration Day
