Madame Tussauds - London

To Mark the Diamond Jubilee a Brand New Figure of the Queen is set to be Unveiled!

To mark The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee here at Madame Tussauds London we are creating The Queen’s 23rd wax portrait. Work is well underway and completion of the £150,000 figure is scheduled for mid-May.

The new figure will portray Her Majesty as she appeared in the official Jubilee portrait photograph released in December. She will wear a recreation of the white beaded lace dress with blue silk sash adorned with The Queen’s Garter Badge, topped off by a replica of the diamond and pearl George IV State Diadem.

The current figure of The Queen was created eleven years ago in 2001. She first appeared in 1928 as the two year old Princess Elizabeth and her figure has been regularly updated since.

The new figure will be featured in our special Royal area alongside the Duke of Edinburgh. New figures of her grandson, Prince William and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge, due to be revealed in April, will also be nearby as will Prince Harry, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall.
