The Krak
Fast-rising indie band and ‘guerilla’ gig specialists The Krak will make history on June 24 by becoming the first group ever to rock up ‘n’ play for tourists at world famous Madame Tussauds London.
Launching eagerly awaited debut single Madame Riviere, The Krak – Gemma Clarke (drums), Ben Sheldrick (vocals/bass), Tom Swayze (vocals/guitar) and Claire Wakeman (vocals/guitar) - will hit the top attraction’s interactive Music Zone, flanked by an all-star wax backing band including Jimi Hendrix, Tom Jones, Madonna, Michael Jackson and Bob Marley. Talk about line-up!
The Krak have, already, notched up some impressive appearances. They were the first outfit to play the Gorilla Enclosure at London Zoo (the ultimate ‘guerilla’ gig!) not to mention serenade passengers on board the prestigious Orient Express. Madame Tussauds, where guests can get up, close and personal with over 350 famous figures, represents an impressive ‘live’ hat-trick for the talented Londoners.
Celebrations, in the form of an afternoon after-show party, will be held at infamous rock-haunt The Met Bar. The Krak will perform an acoustic version of their new single (for guests and members alike) and sip on a few 'Madame Riviere' cocktails, before they head off to open Glastonbury.
