1971 Rejoins the RSC and takes on roles including the Duchess in the Duchess of Malfi, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing and Lady Macbeth
1971 Married British actor Michael Williams
1988 Made her directing debut with the Renaissance Theatre Company’s touring season, Renaissance Shakespeare in the road
1995 Taking over the role of M in the James Bond film series, starting with Golden Eye
