Tony Blair

Hang out with Cool Britannia’s hippest PM

As leader of Britain’s Labour Party, Blair abandoned many of the policies of his predecessors and swept to a landslide victory in the 1997 General Election, ending 18 years of Conservative rule. As Prime Minister, he became the only person to lead Labour to three successive election victories and ushered in both New Labour and Cool Britannia. As an international statesman, he was appointed official Envoy to the Middle East on behalf of the United Nations.
