Salman Khan Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds New York
Salman Khan in Wax at Madame Tussauds New York!
The “bad boy” of Bollywood and star of more than 80 Hindi films, Salman Khan's wax likeness was unveiled on Thursday, August 2nd at Madame Tussauds New York. Khan's figure is in the attraction’s “Bollywood Zone” through November, and stands alongside fellow Indian film legends Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan.
Salman Khan is one of Bollywood’s most renowned actors, having appeared in the highest grossing film eight separate years during his career. He burst onto the scene with his award-performance in Maine Pyar Kiya in 1989, which won him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His latest film, Bodyguard, has become the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of all time. In 2004, People magazine named Khan the seventh best-looking man in the world.
Khan’s wax figure – dressed in jeans and a black sleeveless shirt that he personally chose and donated to the attraction – will be on display at Madame Tussauds New York through November.
Madame Tussauds New York’s “Bollywood Zone” is a brightly-colored, fully-interactive exhibit designed to evoke the look and feel of Hindi Cinema and celebrate its greatest stars.
