SpongeBob Arrives in Jellyfish Fields!
Ahoy there! All the way from Bikini Bottom, it’s none other than SpongeBob SquarePants, the most bubbly addition to Madame Tussauds’ collection of celebrity wax figures in like, forever! It’s your chance to join your favorite porifera in Jellyfish Fields where you can take a photo together, then cast an eye on the SpongeBob 4D film! Why, this may prove to be the best day of your young life!
SpongeBob’s wax figure joined his custom, fully-interactive environment designed to replicate the look, feel and sounds of one of SpongeBob’s favorite hangouts, Jellyfish Fields.
Merlin Studio Artists worked closely with Nickelodeon throughout the figure creation process and studied hundreds of photos and hours of SpongeBob footage to create the incredibly detailed figure.
In another “first,” SpongeBob’s wax likeness is the first to be made entirely of Elvex wax, a special type of wax (from British Wax), which is normally only used for figures’ hands, as it is more durable.
Yellow is the New Black!
To celebrate the arrival of SpongeBob’s figure, children 12 and under will receive free admission to the attraction for the remainder of July, if their entire family comes dressed in yellow.
