How long does a visit to Madame Tussauds last?
It takes approximately an hour and half to complete a visit of Madame Tussauds, including SCREAM, Cinema 4D and Behind the Scenes.
How long can I expect to wait in line to get into Madame Tussauds?
During busy seasons (i.e. holidays and summer), the wait can be up to an hour. No need to worry, you can snap photos with our wax celebrity hosts, watch our fun video introduction or make your own wax hand while you wait.
Where is the discounted parking garage?
Discounted parking is available at IKON/Global Garage at 143 West 40th St (between Broadway and 7th Avenue) when you validate your parking claim ticket at Madame Tussauds admissions. $16 rate for up to 12hrs valid Monday - Saturday. Madame Tussauds is not responsible for parking discount or association with Global Parking LLC. Oversized vehicles are subject to additional charge.
Can I take large bags or luggage to Madame Tussauds?
For security reasons, large bags or luggage are not permitted to be left at Madame Tussauds.
Is the SCREAM experience suitable for all guests?
SCREAM, the interactive horror experience, is recommended for individuals over the age of 12. This intense experience features live actors, special effects and flashing lights and may not suitable for those with heart conditions and pregnant women. The actors will not touch you.
Regarding Cinema 4D, what is 4D?
4D is cutting edge technology that combines a 3D film with the latest in 4D special effects including wind, snow, mist, vibrations, digital surround sound and an exciting line up of films to thrill the entire family.
Can I take a baby stroller to Madame Tussauds?
Yes.
Can I take any animals or pets to Madame Tussauds?
No animals or pets are permitted into Madame Tussauds. However, we do permit seeing eye dogs, guide dogs and hearing ear dogs.
Can I eat or drink at Madame Tussauds?
We do not permit outside food and beverage. However, you can purchase food and beverage in the attraction.
Can I take a camera to Madame Tussauds?
We encourage taking many photos! Cameras are permitted in all public areas of Madame Tussauds except SCREAM. If you are a film crew or press and need access to the attraction, please contact our press office for further information.
Payments
What credit cards do you accept as payment?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. You will need to present a valid ID with your credit card.
Do you accept the Euro or other foreign currency?
No, but there is a currency exchange called The Change Group two doors down from Madame Tussauds walking west on 42nd Street.
Is there an ATM machine at Madame Tussauds?
Yes.

How do I use my Madame Tussauds discount coupon?
Each promotion has it unique instructions and conditions. Please read these details in the fine print to redeem your discount. Generally, the offer must be presented to the admissions host at the time of purchase.
Can I purchase gift cards?
Give that special someone star treatment! Madame Tussauds Gift Cards are available in increments of $25 and are valid for one year. You can purchase them online or at the box office.
Does Madame Tussauds offer charity donations or raffle prizes?
As part of Merlin Entertainments, Madame Tussauds only supports charities through Merlin’s Magic Wand children’s charity. Therefore, we are unable to donate tickets direct to schools and organizations. For more information on Merlin’s Magic Wand please visit us now.
