Kobe Bryant Unveiled at Shanghai


(Feb. 9th 2010,Shanghai)Madame Tussauds Shanghai, located at 10/F, New World Building, No.2-68 Nanjing Xi Road, Shanghai, today seems to become the paradise for NBA Lakers’ fans in celebration of the presence of the wax figure of MVP superstar, Kobe Bryant, nicknamed ‘little flying warrior’ in Chinese.

Mr. Bret Pigeon, the general manager of Madame Tussauds Shanghai, was present at the site to unveil the wax figure. He says, “On the occasion of the 59th NBA All-star Game, Madame Tussauds Shanghai will present a New Year gift to the Chinese basketball fans---they are offered the chance to come into ‘close contact’ with NBA superstar Kobe Bryant. In addition, with the wax figure of Kobe Bryant as the first one launched in Madame Tussauds in 2010, the museum hopes that the winning spirit and unyielding willpower of Kobe Bryant will inspire the visitors to strive for success.”

NBA superstar Kobe Bryant is rated as the best NBA player in the first decade of 21st century. The shooting guard has achieved enviable success for himself and his team with his perfect skills of breaking through, shooting and the outstanding ability in organization. To date, he and his team have been granted a great number of honors such as Olympic Champion, NBA Champions, NBA Best Scorer, NBA Finals MVP, NBA All-star MVP, NBA best team, pushing the spiritual leader of the basketball team to the pinnacle of success and making him becomes a popular idol.

All wax figures in Madame Tussauds are meticulously made to achieve a perfect lifelike effect. At the play field, the wax figure of Kobe Bryant, dressed in the uniform of Lakers team, holds the ball sideways, positions himself in the virtual basketball court, a place where he can demonstrate his gorgeous techniques and heroic spirit, the loving tattoo on the right arm catching the audience’s eyes, determined eyes shining with indomitable strength and resolute faith. The visitors are all amazed at the vividness of the wax figure. They are all eager to take photos with the wax figure. Some Lakers’ fans even put on the uniform of the basketball team to have intimate interaction with Kobe. The museum is a scene of rejoicing.
