(Shanghai, 23 July 2009) Taiwan’s pop star Show Luo had an ‘intimate contact’ his the wax figure recently by visiting Madame Tussauds Shanghai.
Referring to the modeling in the TV ads of Pepsi Thumb Hero Team 2008, along with shiny texture of the clothing and the cool expression, Show Luo’s figure has reproduced the handsome look as “Twin Tricker” in the ads.
At the first sight of his 1:1 figure, Show Luo burst into laughter, and said ”So much like me!” Describing himself a super fan of Ultraman, Show loved the image design when shooting the TV ads of Pepsi Thumb Hero Team. Now the figure saves the cool ads image permanently, he felt quite proud and happy.
When Show Luo saw his figure, he gave a meticulous ‘body check’ to see if there was something not so perfect. As a completist, he immediately found the hair style a little different from the current one. After all, the image in the ads was generated a year ago. Fortunately, Show’s hair stylist was accompanying, the figure became more perfect now. Show said “This visit to my own figure has been scheduled for a long time. I have been looking forward to its completion since the 2-hour sitting for the figure in the first half of this year. From time to time, I would ask Pepsi when my figure will be finished. And it was about June, when I required to visit Madame Tussauds Shanghai at the time I heard my figured was done. However I didn’t expect shipping from England would take a whole month, so long a time to wait! Anyway, it turns out to be very nice and worth waiting for.”
Show Luo was so excited that couldn’t help but make fun of his own wax figure on the eyes and nose, feel the texture of the figure and praise for the good shape, secretly priding himself actually. “It really looks the same as me, especially the eyes. Standing beside the 1:1 figure of my own, I have a wonderful feeling. I am so happy about all this, because as an artist I think there’re two things that are recognition of success. One is holding a concert, and the other is having a figure in Madame Tussauds.”
Besides interacting with his figure, Show Luo also visited figures of other stars in a great interest and took a lot of photos with his idols. Show Luo has achieved a great success by his good songs and dances, which entitled him as the new ‘Dancing King’. When he comes to the figure of Aaron Kwok, who conquered numerous fans by his fantastic dances, Show stopped to take photo with ‘senior Kwok’ who he often imitates on the stage, humbly and seriously.
Showing up with his wax figure, Show Luo’s arrival has brought the Pepsi Studio a new beam of starlight, which is sure to be a great attraction.
