From Betty White to Marilyn Monroe, Madame Tussauds Washington, D.C. has, to much fanfare, played host to a variety of classic Hollywood American icons.
That's why we are thrilled to announce the arrival of the 'American Icons' exhibit. The exhibit will feature classic American icons from film, music, and tv, including John Wayne, Johnny Cash, Frank Sinatra, James Dean, and Elvis Presely.
John Wayne was a famed actor, best known for his role in iconic westerns, such as Stagecoach and Rio Bravo. Synonymous with box office success, John Wayne's iconic career continues to leave a mark on the industry.
Johnny Cash was a musician best known for hits such as I Walk the Line and Folsom City Blues. His rock and roll hits spoke to a generation and continued to influence long after his death in 2003.
Over the course of his career, Frank Sinatra won 11 Grammys, broke countless records, and was one of the best-selling artists of all time.
Thanks to his famed role in Rebel Without A Cause, James Dean was an American cultural icon, representing youth and rebellion. This iconic role made Dean a superstar.
Elvis Presley, best known as the King of Rock n' Roll, was a massively successful singer and actor. Hits such as ''Hound Dog" ensured Elvis' lasting impact on the music industry.
