Selena Gomez has arrived at Madame Tussauds DC!

As the blooming Cherry Blossoms help usher in spring in the D.C.-area, the wax figure of blossoming actress, singer and teen sensation Selena Gomez has officially debuted in the nation’s capital at Madame Tussauds D.C.

Gomez's wax figure is part of the attraction’s “Glamour” room, where it stands alongside figures of Madonna, Johnny Depp, Michael Jackson, Beyonce and a variety of today’s biggest celebrities. Visitors are able to take pictures with, and even hug her figure.

A young woman of many talents, Gomez is an actress and singer, and the star of the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel Original Series, “Wizards of Waverly Place.” Off the screen and outside of the studio, Gomez has spent significant time on her philanthropic endeavors. She was involved in the UR Votes Count campaign, which helped encourage teenagers learn more about their 2008 Presidential candidates. She was also a spokesperson for UNICEF's 2008 Trick-or-Treat campaign.

Selena's figure made a quick stop on the West Coast!

Unveiled on the set of Disney Channel Original Series, Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena saw her wax double for the first time earlier this month. Participating in the figure-making process, she was excited to see the final product.

Gomez was an enthusiastic participant in the figure making process, spending nearly an hour with the studio artists, as they took dozens of measurements and hundreds of photos to ensure her wax likeness would be an exact replica. Gomez donated a black BCBG dress and shoes of her own - completing the authenticity of the figure’s likeness.
