Where is the nearest station?
Amsterdam’s Central Station is a ten minute walk from Madame Tussauds. You leave the station from the front entrance and walk across the Damrak to the Dam. You will find Madame Tussauds on the Dam between the Kalverstraat and the Rokin.
You can also get to the Dam by tram:
Tram 1, 2, 5, 17 and 20, Magna Plaza/Dam stop.
Tram 4, 9, 16, 20, 24, 25 Bijenkorf/Dam stop.
Where is the nearest car park?
You can also travel to Madame Tussauds by car. There are various different car parks nearby, including the Bijenkorf car park. The Bijenkorf car park is just a five minute walk from Madame Tussauds.

Where are the nearest coach drop off and pick up points?
There are various different coach drop off and pick up points right across Amsterdam. You will find one on the Dam in front of the NH Krasnapolsky for smaller passenger buses. You will also find one a little further on the Damrak.

How long will a visit to Madame Tussauds Amsterdam last?
An average visit to Madame Tussauds will last an hour and fifteen minutes. Don’t forget to bring your camera to record all your experiences in Madame Tussauds!
Can I bring baggage or leave this behind somewhere?
Unfortunately it is not possible to bring large bags into Madame Tussauds for security reasons. Large bags and other baggage can be safely stored at Amsterdam’s Central Station. You can also store your luggage at 'Drop&go': Nieuwe nieuwstraat 14.
Can I bring a pet with me?
It’s unfortunately not possible to bring a pet into Madame Tussauds.
Can I take a buggy / pram into Madame Tussauds?
It’s possible to take a buggy or pram into Madame Tussauds. Do consider the fact that there are various different staircases within the attraction. Madame Tussauds does not offer any storage facilities for buggies or prams.
How long will I need to queue up for before I can go in?
Madame Tussauds is well known for its queues at the entrance. Yet it has become apparent that our guests never need to wait for more than twenty minutes during the peak season. You can purchase online tickets via the website, which will allow you to enter via the VIP Fast Track. This means you don’t need to queue up. Click here to order your tickets.
Can I touch the figures?
Yes, you are allowed to touch the celebrities, icons and world leaders. Enjoy a game of football with Ronaldinho, make some music with the world famous DJ Tiësto and walk across the catwalk with top model Doutzen Kroes.
Can I bring my camera?
You can certainly bring your camera during a visit to Madame Tussauds. Why not take a picture whilst singing with Adele, or photograph yourself in the Mona Lisa painting! You can photograph and film everywhere, with the exception of the reception area section.
Are there any professional photographers in Madame Tussauds?
Yes, you will immediately be photographed at the 1st floor. This will provide you with a nice momentum of your visit to Madame Tussauds and its celebrities!
Can I purchase photographs at Madame Tussauds?
Yes, you can buy the photograph which was taken at the entrance. You will also have the option of purchasing a key ring or a glass cube within which you will be immortalised, in addition to these photographs.
Does Madame Tussauds provide disabled access?
Wheelchair and rollator users are always very welcome at Madame Tussauds. However, strict fire regulations dictate that we can only admit two wheelchair users at any one time. We would therefore strongly recommend you book your visit in advance. This section will provide you with more information regarding disabled access.

Can I bring my guide dog into Madame Tussauds?
Guide dogs for the blind are unfortunately not permitted inside Madame Tussauds.
Does Madame Tussauds Amsterdam offer special school rates?
We have special rates for schools. A visit to Madame Tussauds costs € 8,50 for both students as well as the people accompanying them. One condition for this price is that you must be able to present proof that you are indeed a school and that there is one accompanying adult for every ten students. Please make a reservation via +31 20 5221 010 in order to benefit from this special rate.
How does a discount voucher work with a maximum number of people?
If you have a discount voucher which states a maximum number of people, then this discount will apply per person. None of our discount vouchers can be used in combination with other discounts or in combination with the family package. A discount voucher will only allow you to purchase your ticket at the till point and not via the internet.
Does Madame Tussauds also provide family discounts?

How does a combination with The Amsterdam Dungeon work?
Madame Tussauds offers combination tickets with The Amsterdam Dungeon. You will receive an admission ticket for The Amsterdam Dungeon at the till point. This ticket will be valid for one month. This doesn’t apply to a combination ticket purchased via the internet.

You have various different payment options at the till point: cash, PIN, American Express, Maestro, Master Card and Visa. Internet tickets can be paid for via internet banking (ideal) or via Credit Card.

You will qualify for special prices if you regularly bring groups to Madame Tussauds. Send an email to the Trade department with your address details and company name and we will provide you with information on our special rates.
