Sandra Ng takes her place in the famous home of the famous

HONG KONG (28 March 2012) – Today, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong unveiled the wax figure of Sandra Ng – an award-winning actress successful television host and radio personality. Joining other A-Listers at the world’s famous home of the famous, Sandra Ng is the very first show host celebrity being immortalized at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.

Having taken part in more than 100 films and television shows since the 80’s, Sandra Ng was awarded Best Overseas Chinese Actress at the 14th Chinese Huabiao Awards with her role in movie “Echoes of the Rainbow” in 2011. Movie “All About Love” also earned Sandra another Best Actress Award in the 9th Hong Kong Asia Film Festival.

Highly reputable and respected for her success and experience as an actress, Sandra is also renowned to be one of Asia’ most embraced and popular television and talk show host. Some of her highly rated shows included “On A Clear Day” in 2004, “He She Hit” in 2005, as well as the celebrity talk show, “Club Sparkle” in 2009. As such, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has created her wax double in her talk show styling, as an effort to pay tribute to her talent in this genre.

The event today kicked off when the music of the special entertainment show “Sparkling Club” started playing and unveiled two identical Sandra’s on stage with same outfits, same poses and same smiles. Not until she made the opening remarks did the audience identify which was the real Sandra Ng.

Dressed in a casual yet chic outfit, the wax figure of Sandra Ng sits on a stool, ready to interview guests as they sit down comfortably next to her. Fans will be able to get up close with Sandra Ng, play talk show host while snapping pictures with her.

Sandra Ng said, “Having my own wax double created is definitely an important milestone for me. Looking at my wax figure so closely, I was amazed how the smallest details of myself have been replicated, and even perfected.”

Sandra Ng has taken her place at the Hong Kong Glamour zone in Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, joining other celebrity icons including Andy Lau, Ethan Juan and Louis Koo.
