One Direction Get A Summer Madame Tussauds Makeover!

One Direction get a Summer makeover!

Hot on the heels of the band’s announcement of a concert film of their recent ‘Where We Are’ international stadium tour, we've restyled the phenomenally popular wax figures of pop sensation, One Direction, with a new look for summer to reflect the outfits worn by the group on tour.

The figures whipped fans into a frenzy when we unveiled them in April 2013 wearing outfits donated by the group, and this new tour inspired look is set to be just as popular.

"We want to make sure the figures reflect the boys’ latest style"

“We never doubted that One Direction would be a huge hit here at Madame Tussauds London, and as the band goes from strength to strength, they continue to be firm favourites with our guests,” commented Matthew Clarkson, our Marketing Manager. He added, "They arrived in April last year dressed in clothing donated by the group, but we want to make sure the figures reflect the boys’ latest, more summery style. Die hard fans will recognise these new outfits which are inspired by their recent 'This Is Us' tour look."

The group sits on a school-style bench where fans can sit alongside and pose for all-important selfies with the boys, who are dressed in their characteristic smart casual stage style. Zayn sports a look worn in Dusseldorf, wearing a Harley Davison t-shirt and black boots with light black skinny jeans, while Harry dons a fashionably relaxed ensemble of black skinny jeans and his trademark tan suede boots, with a black and white Aztec style print shirt and black bandana as worn in their Wembley shows. Liam rocks an outfit worn on the Edinburgh leg of the tour with a red check flannel shirt over a white t-shirt and black jeans and high top trainers, while Louis is styled similarly to his Dusseldorf look in a The Stone Roses tee and black skinny jeans with checked skate shoes and a light denim jacket. Last but not least, Niall adds an injection of colour with a green-sleeved white top with cuffed, blue skinny jeans and white high top trainers as worn in Dublin.
