Francois Hollande Arrives
Francois Hollande took his place alongside other world leaders here at Madame Tussauds as a new wax figure of the 24th President of France was revealed to coincide with his first 100 days in office.
Wearing a smart, grey two-piece suit, white shirt, blue tie and black Oxford shoes, the amazingly life like figure took up residence in our World Stage area, alongside fellow European leaders David Cameron and Angela Merkel and near US President Barack Obama. His predecessor, Nicolas Sarkozy was today removed to make way for his successor.
Here at Madame Tussauds we are delighted to welcome President Hollande to the World Stage, the area is extremely popular and guests love the opportunity to stand shoulder to shoulder with some of the biggest names in politics.
French guests are amongst are our most important overseas visitors and President Sarkozy enjoyed a lot of attention from his country-men. We’re sure President Hollande will receive similar attention as he takes up residence here.
Mr Hollande’s figure has taken a team of 20 talented sculptors, hair artists and colourists four months to create at a cost of £150,000.
