Lionel Messi’s new Wax Figure Revealed at Wembley Stadium

As FC Barcelona prepare to kick off their campaign to win back the UEFA Champions League title against Spartak Moscow tonight, we revealed a perfect double of the Club’s most prolific scorer, Lionel Messi, at the venue of this year’s competition’s final, the legendary Wembley Stadium.

The new wax figure, portraying Messi in his signature “goal celebration” pose, arms aloft dressed in FC Barcelona kit, was positioned with the goal, where he put the ball in the net in the 2010/2011 Champions League Final, in the background.

The figure will return to Baker Street where he will take up residence alongside his Real Madrid rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, in our interactive Sports Zone where guests can test their scoring prowess alongside one of the world’s most successful goal scorers.

”Here at Wembley we offer the unique chance for fans to follow in the footsteps of their heroes, so we were happy to be the venue for the first reveal of Madame Tussuads’ figure of one of the biggest heroes in the game!” said Adam Burrage, Wembley Tours Manager.

The £150,000 wax figure took four months to create and will be ready to meet guests here at Madame Tussauds from Monday 24TH September.

Messi Arrives Here at Madame Tussauds!

With both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid celebrating first match victories in the UEFA Champions League last week, two of the teams most prolific players came shoulder to shoulder here at Madame Tussauds as Lionel Messi’s brand new wax figure joins Cristiano Ronaldo’s in the our interactive sports zone.
