Nadal Warms up for a Place here at Madame Tussauds London
One of the greatest tennis players of all time was poised for action in London as members of the Will to Win Tennis Club in Regents Park came racquet to racquet with Rafael Nadal.
The ten time Grand Slam winner and Olympic Gold medallist was warming up for his latest appearance – amongst the sporting superstars here at Madame Tussauds.
Will to Win coach Emily Taylor posed alongside the legendary player who is portrayed in typical action pose, mid shot wearing his trade-mark bright match gear, and was impressed by the likeness.
“I am a big Rafa fan and this figure is spot on, if a lot less sweaty!”, she commented. “I’ve dreamed of having a knock around with him for years and now hear I am standing just across the net!”
We are delighted to be featuring Nadal in the attraction as he prepares for what could be his record breaking 7th French Open title, but as we have these great courts just a stone’s throw away we couldn’t resist giving him a brief warm up and letting the team here give us the first verdict on the figure.
We’re sure all his fans are going to enjoy getting up close to him just as much when he joins the A-list in our interactive sporting zone.
After the surprise courtside visit, the figure made a brief journey back to Baker Street and is now ready in our sports zone to meet his fans.
