The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Arrive
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, made their debut here at Madame Tussauds London, when stunningly life like wax figures of the much loved young Royal couple were revealed. Catherine and Williams’ likenesses were also unveiled at Madame Tussauds attractions in New York and Amsterdam, with each location portraying the Duchess in a different style.
Here in London the hugely popular couple’s portrayal is inspired by their iconic engagement pose. Catherine is dressed in an exact copy of the stunning blue Issa London dress she wore on the day of the announcement, exclusively created by the Issa design team. Prince William is in a replica of the Gieves and Hawkes navy two piece single breasted suit recreated by the renowned tailors. Catherine’s figure will also sport a painstakingly accurate recreation of the stunning sapphire and diamond engagement ring once worn by the late Diana, Princess of Wales. William sports a replica of the Omega Seamaster watch he wore on his engagement day.
Madame Tussauds New York’s Duchess wears a replica Alexander McQueen floor-sweeping gown from the BAFTA Brits to Watch Awards whilst in Amsterdam she is captured in her most recent appearance at the War Horse premiere where she wore a lace Temperly London number. Madame Tussauds Blackpool, will include the figures a little later in the month showing Catherine in a stunning Jenny Packham dress from her appearance at the ARK Charity Dinner. All outfits have been created in collaboration with the original designers.
The couple are now featured in our special Royal zone in a throne room setting. Situated nearby are Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, as well as Prince Harry and the Late Princess Diana.
