Reliving the Classic Love Movies, Paying Tributes to the Movie Queen - Wax Figure of Kate Winslet Unveiled at Madame Tussauds Shanghai in Grand Ceremony

(29th November)This afternoon, Madame Tussauds Shanghai situated on the tenth floor of New World Shopping Mall, No. 2-68 west Nanjing Road ushered in an international superstar. The wax figure of Kate Winslet, who received an Oscar nomination for playing Rose in the film Titanic was formally unveiled at Madame Tussauds Shanghai. At the unveiling ceremony, well-known director Guo Hua joined hands with celebrity actor Yan Feng and actress Mei Niisha to present the Kate’s classic works in form of mini drama before unveiling the fax figure.

Kate Winslet had accrued six Oscar nominations before winning the Academy Award for best actress in 2009. To pay tributes to this international superstar who had played in many classic love movies, Madame Tussauds Shanghai invited famous director Guo Hua to create a three-scene mini drama for the unveiling ceremony: A Woman's Journey of Love, which featured Shanghai's new generation celebrity actor and actress Yan Feng and Mei Nisha. The drama ingeniously integrated Kate Winslet's three classical movies: Titanic, The Reader, and Revolutionary Road and told the love story of a woman who fulfilled her life for love and returned to obscurity. In the sound of film music, the screen images created by Kate- resolute Rose, tolerating and proud Hannah, independent and strong-minded April were represented one after another on the stage, brining back the touching love stories into the audience's mind. It's worth mentioning that the third act of the drama is a creative combination of Guo Hua's latest play Two Persons' Shanghai and Kate Winslet's Revolutionary Road. The outstanding acting skills of Yan Feng and Mei Nisha made this ingenious drama extraordinarily special.

After the drama, the hero and heroine- Yan Feng and Mei Nisha unveiled the wax figure of Kate Winslet. The stunningly beautiful wax image received warm applause from the audience.
