Where is the nearest station?
Amsterdam’s Central Station is a ten minute walk from Madame Tussauds. You leave the station from the front entrance and walk across the Damrak to the Dam. You will find Madame Tussauds on the Dam between the Kalverstraat and the Rokin.
You can also get to the Dam by tram:
Tram 1, 2, 5, 17 and 20, Magna Plaza/Dam stop.
Tram 4, 9, 16, 20, 24, 25 Bijenkorf/Dam stop.
You can also travel to Madame Tussauds by car. There are various different car parks nearby, including the Bijenkorf car park. The Bijenkorf car park is just a five minute walk from Madame Tussauds.
There are various different coach drop off and pick up points right across Amsterdam. You will find one on the Dam in front of the NH Krasnapolsky for smaller passenger buses. You will also find one a little further on the Damrak.

How long will a visit to Madame Tussauds Amsterdam last?
An average visit to Madame Tussauds will last approximately one hour. Don’t forget to bring your camera to record all your experiences in Madame Tussauds!
Of course you can take your luggage with you during your walk through the museum. Unfortunately it is not possible to leave your luggage at Madame Tussauds for security reasons. Large bags and other baggage can be safely stored at Amsterdam’s Central Station. You can also store your luggage at 'Drop&go' or at Lockerpoint.
It’s unfortunately not allowed to bring a pet into Madame Tussauds.
Yes, it's possible to enter the attraction with a buggy. Do consider the fact that there are various different staircases within the attraction. Madame Tussauds does not offer any storage facilities for buggies or prams. Of course our staff can help you to carry the buggy.
Is it possible to avoid the elevator at the entrance and take the stairs?
Of course. If you don't like elevators, please tell our staff at the till point. One of our staff members will guide you to the stairs. Please note: It can take some time before one of our staff members will be available to guide you to the stairs.
Madame Tussauds is well known for its queues at the entrance. Yet it has become apparent that our guests never need to wait for more than twenty minutes during the peak season. You can purchase online tickets via the website, which will allow you to enter via the VIP Fast Track and give you a discount!
Yes, you are allowed to touch the celebrities, icons and world leaders. Enjoy a game of football with Messi, make some music with the world famous DJ Afrojack and walk across the catwalk with top model Doutzen Kroes.
You can certainly bring your camera during a visit to Madame Tussauds. Why not take a picture while singing with Adele, or photograph yourself in the Mona Lisa painting! You can photograph and film everywhere, with the exception of the reception area section.
Yes, you will be photographed at different places. This will provide you with a nice momentum of your visit to Madame Tussauds and its celebrities!
Yes, you can purchase the photos which have been made during the visit. In our souvenir shop you have the possibility to immortalise you (with your friends and family) in a glass cube
Does Madame Tussauds provide disabled access?
Wheelchair and rollator users are always very welcome at Madame Tussauds. However, strict fire regulations dictate that we can only admit two wheelchair users at any one time. We have special rates for schools. A visit to Madame Tussauds costs € 9,50 for both students as well as the people accompanying them. One condition for this price is that you must be able to present proof that you are indeed a school and that there is one accompanying adult for every ten students. Please make a reservation via +003120-5221 010 in order to benefit from this special rate.
If you have a discount voucher which states a maximum number of people, then this discount will apply per person. None of our discount vouchers can be used in combination with other discounts or in combination with the family package. A discount voucher will only allow you to purchase your ticket at the till point and not in our online shop. Every discount voucher has an expire date. Please check the expire date of you discount voucher to avoid disappointment.
Yes, these tickets can only be bought at the entrance.
How does a combination with The Amsterdam Dungeon work?
Madame Tussauds offers combination tickets with The Amsterdam Dungeon. You will receive an admission ticket for The Amsterdam Dungeon at the till point. This ticket will be valid for one month. This doesn’t apply to a combination ticket purchased via the internet.
You have various different payment options at the till point: cash, PIN, American Express, Maestro, Master Card and Visa. Online tickets can be paid for via internet banking (ideal), via Credit Card and via Paypal.
You will qualify for special prices if you regularly bring groups to Madame Tussauds. Send an email to our Sales Manager Ellen van Veen with the name and the address of the company and we will provide you with information on our special rates.
