Terms & Conditions

The visitor attraction known as Madame Tussauds, located at Promenade, Blackpool (“the Attraction”), is owned and operated by Blackpool Tourism Ltd. All persons visiting the Attraction are subject to the following Terms and Conditions. By acquiring one or more tickets to the Attraction (“Ticket” or “Tickets”), you confirm to Blackpool Tourism Ltd that you accept these Terms and Conditions of use. Ticket holders are referred to in these Terms and Conditions as “Visitors”.

1. Attraction and Tickets

1.1 One Ticket purchased entitles one person entry to the Attraction on a single occasion. Once Visitors have left the Attraction, they must purchase an additional Ticket to re-enter.

1.2 All persons entering the Attraction must hold a valid Ticket, which must be retained at all times and submitted for inspection if required by staff. Failure to produce a valid Ticket may result in removal.

1.3 Group Tickets for parties of ten or more may be available at discounted rates (“Group Tickets”). Please see Madame Tussauds Blackpool Group Tickets for details.

1.4 Where Ticket prices vary by age:

  • 1.4.1 Persons aged 15 or older are classed as adults
  • 1.4.2 Persons aged 3 to 14 are classed as children
  • 1.4.3 Children under 3 years are admitted free of charge

1.5 Ticket prices may vary and advertised prices are not guaranteed.

1.6 Tickets, whether purchased or complimentary, are non-refundable, non-transferable, and void if altered. Tickets suspected to be transferred or altered will not be honoured. Lost Tickets will not be replaced.

1.7 Tickets include entry to most, but not all, areas of the Attraction. Additional tickets may be required for full access, subject to availability and at Blackpool Tourism Ltd’s discretion.

1.8 Promotional Tickets may be issued from time to time, subject to availability and specific promotional terms.

1.9 Carer tickets are valid only when accompanying a full-paying adult.

2.0 Photo opportunity sets may be closed during visitor hours.

2.1 Blackpool Tourism Ltd does not knowingly permit entry to any person who is a convicted child sex offender or subject to legal restrictions under the Sexual Offences Act 2003, Sexual Risk Orders, Child Abduction Notices, or similar safeguarding measures.

2.2 Blackpool Tourism Ltd reserves the right to refuse admission, ban entry, or remove any person (and their party) whose behaviour may affect the safety or enjoyment of others or undermine safeguarding commitments. “Attractions” includes all current and future properties operated by Blackpool Tourism Ltd.

Queue jumping includes gaining access to rides or attractions via unauthorised means, cutting in line, re-entering a queue, or saving places for others.

2. Pre-Booked Tickets

2.1 Pre-booked Tickets (including Priority Access Tickets) should be collected from the main entrance or, for groups, the “Group Entrance”.

2.2 To redeem pre-booked Tickets, Visitors must present:

  • 2.2.1 The booking reference
  • 2.2.2 The credit card used for payment. If the cardholder is not present, a signed letter of permission and photo ID must be provided. This letter will be retained by Madame Tussauds Blackpool.

2.3 Pre-booked Tickets cannot be used with vouchers, promotions, or special offers.

3. Priority Access Tickets

3.1 Where available, Priority Access Tickets allow entry ahead of standard Ticket holders.

3.2 These Tickets are valid during a specified half-hour time slot (“Allocated Entry Time”).

3.3 Visitors must arrive at their Allocated Entry Time to redeem Priority Access.

3.4 Late arrivals may lose priority access and must queue with standard Ticket holders.

3.5 Priority Access Tickets are non-transferable and may not be resold.

4. Children

4.1 Children aged 14 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.

4.2 Certain areas may be unsuitable for children. Blackpool Tourism Ltd reserves the right to restrict access based on age recommendations.

5. Health and Safety

5.1 Special effects (e.g., loud sounds, strobe lighting) may be used. Visitors with medical conditions should consult staff and avoid affected areas.

5.2 Visitors must follow health and safety instructions provided by staff.

6. Visitors’ Conduct

6.1 Prohibited behaviours include:

  • 6.1.1 Smoking
  • 6.1.2 Pets (except guide/hearing dogs)
  • 6.1.3 Consuming food/drink without permission
  • 6.1.4 Offensive weapons
  • 6.1.5 Accessing restricted areas
  • 6.1.6 Excessive noise or disruptive behaviour
  • 6.1.7 Illegal drug use or unauthorised alcohol consumption

6.2 Blackpool Tourism Ltd may refuse entry or remove Visitors who violate these rules or pose a risk to others.

7. Security

7.1 Visitors may be subject to searches. Refusal or possession of prohibited items may result in denial of entry or removal.

7.2 Visitors must keep personal belongings with them. Blackpool Tourism Ltd is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.

8. Photography

8.1 Photography or filming may occur. Visitors consent to the use of their image for promotional or monitoring purposes. Copyright remains with Blackpool Tourism Ltd or authorised third parties.

9. Blackpool Tourism Ltd’s Obligations

9.1 Parts of the Attraction may be closed or wax figures removed for maintenance. No refunds or compensation will be provided.

9.2 Blackpool Tourism Ltd will endeavour to remain open during published hours but may close without notice. Tickets for the day of closure will be refunded or exchanged, but no further compensation will be offered.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms and Conditions are governed by English law. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.
