These spectacular silver star platforms were gifted by Elton John in 1976 when he sat for his first figure.

Every celebrity wants to look their best, in life and in wax. When a celebrity has a sitting with Madame Tussauds it is not uncommon for them to gift us a prized piece of their wardrobe to dress their figure in.
Along-side the shoes Elton John also donated a silver suit for his figure. In 1988 Madame Tussauds acquired a black rhinestone tour jumpsuits of Elton’s at auction, which was paired with these shoes for his Rock Circus figure, and later for his figure in Madame Tussauds New York.
Elton John’s first figure was no ordinary figure. It was the first talking and smiling figure, greeting visitors to the attraction with a special message recorded by Elton himself.
