KS2 Inspirational Figures

Sudents will find out what it means to Be Inspired and to Reach For The Stars. They will learn about Marie Tussaud herself, a pioneering woman of her time, exploring the qualities that make a person a good role model. Students will also be asked to identify the challenges that she faced throughout her life and to use what they learn in the workshop to find their own inspiration and set their own goals.

Core Objectives:

  • Defining and understanding the word ‘inspiration’ and exploring the qualities that role models or influential people possess
  • Understanding that role models are not ‘perfect’ people
  • Identifying role models and explaining reasons for choices
  • Understanding that everyone faces challenges in reaching their goals
  • Exploring how to overcome challenges or difficulties
  • Identifying significant moments in the biography of Marie Tussaud and/or another role model of choice
  • Setting aspirational goals that are inspiring in multiple contexts

Workshops are £2 in addition to schools admission. We have two times available for workshops to be booked during the day, these are 11:00 and 14:30. A lesson is designed for a class of up to 30 students, a workshop session is between 45minutes - 1hour.  If required, teachers are welcome to enquire into whether the room is available as a lunch space post/pre workshop.

Both workshops and lunch space are only available on weekdays during term time and must be booked at least 15 working days in advance of your visit date. They must also be booked before your entry into Madame Tussauds. The lunch room is for packed lunches only, once entered on site at the attraction students and teachers will not be able to leave and re-enter, this is due to health and safety reasons.
