  • Charles Dickens was a great enthusiast of Madame Tussauds. In his column, "Eyewitness to Baker Street", he provided a detailed account of his visit to the attraction.
  • In his novel, "The Old Curiosity Shop" he based the socially ambitious wax salon owner, "Mrs. Jarley" on Madame Marie Tussaud.
