Madame Tussauds - Hollywood

Selena Gomez Immortalized in Wax!

Selena Gomez has been immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds Hollywood! The wax attraction unveiled a striking likeness of the singer and actress on Thursday, December 19th.

Just like all Madame Tussauds' figures, Selena Gomez cost $300,000 to create and took a team of talented studio artists 6 months to create!

Madame Tussauds actually have created a wax figure of this celebrity in 2008, when she was best known as Alex Russo in the Disney TV Series, “Wizards of Waverly Place.” In the past few years, this star has since established herself as world renowned musician and actress, so they've created an entirely new figure of her ‘All Grown Up!’

The stunning gold dress that Selena is wearing is replica of the same dress that she wore to the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. The designer of the original dress, Julien Macdonald, created this replica specifically for Selena’s wax figure.

Selena has a neck tattoo of Roman numerals. It reads ‘LXXVI,” which is the number 76. Selena’s mother “Amanda” Teefy was born in 1976. On the back of the figure's neck, you will see that the artists have recreated her tattoo!

In addition to unveiling their newest wax figure, the attraction also shared another piece of exciting news! In 2014, Madame Tussauds Hollywood will be launching 12 new figures in 12 months. That’s more than they've ever launched in one year, so it looks like they have an exciting year ahead!
