7 Coolest Celeb Dads

Celebrity dads are in a league of their own, a subspecies of the human race. They’re known for their chiseled cheekbones, charming personalities, or captivating talents, or in some cases all of the above, but they’re also some of the most adorable public figures around.

In honour of Father’s Day, we’re counting down seven of the coolest celeb dads we all secretly wish we had.

Simon Cowell

In February 2014, first-time father Simon took to Twitter to show off his newborn son Eric, tweeting “I never knew how much love and pride I would feel.” Nawww. Three years on, you can spot Eric alongside his cool dad on the X-Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, etc. It seems as though the Mr Nasty who we’ve all come to know and love has finally found his true calling, and it’s a big fat “YES!!” from us.

David Beckham

We don’t know about you, but we find the way David’s smitten with his kids very attractive… although he’s not too shabby physically either.

Clearly, the apples don’t fall far from the tree, because two of David’s mini-mes – Brooklyn and Romeo – are both successful models in their own rights. Brooklyn has posed for countless magazine covers and photographers while Romeo appeared in a Burberry campaign that earned him £45k for a day’s work. Ka-ching!

Jamie Oliver

We love the fact that Jamie Oliver doesn’t just want the best for his children, but for yours too! Jamie is a longtime advocate of healthy eating, constantly campaigning for more nutritious school dinner menus. Plus he gets brownie points (see what we did there?) for naming his daughters Poppy, Daisy and Petal, and his sons Buddy and River. Too cute!

If this TV cheffing thing doesn’t work out, we reckon they could paint a burger van and start a travelling family choir. Von Trapp-style.

Peter Andre

If you look up the definition of a ‘cool dad’ in a dictionary, you’ll probably find a headshot of Peter Andre.

These days, the chart-topper is getting ready to leave his kids behind to tour Down Under for the first time in 20 years. “It’ll break my heart to leave my kids when I go on tour Down Under, but I’m doing it for their future,” admits the cool dad. Sweet.

Bear Grylls

It doesn’t matter who it is, kids will always bring out the softie in you. Including our resident toughie, Bear Grylls – dad to Marmaduke, Huckleberry and Jesse.

When he’s not filming in the wild, Bear can be seen out and about, rolling in the mud, generally getting outdoorsy with the fam. Having an adventurous type of dad is great for the regular camping trips, and the free bushcraft and survival courses. The only drawback? It’s all fun and games until you’re left stranded on a tropical island on Take Your Kids to Work Day.

Mo Farah

The only thing cooler than having a dad who promises to bring home Olympic gold medals, is having a dad who actually brings home Olympic gold medals. And that’s exactly what this four-time gold-medalist’s done for his children – Rhianna, twins Aisha and Amani, and Hussein – who have each inherited a gold medal from Mo, just as he promised.

Prince William

Bow down to your royal dad goals! Despite his busy schedule, the Duke of Cambridge has managed to balance his jetsetter lifestyle, his crusade for mental health, and his quality time with Kate and their totally adorable royal toddlers, Prince George of Cambridge and Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.

Prince William has done plenty to prove that he knows the kind of father figure he wants to be. Coupled with his royal credentials, we think he’s more than deserving of his spot on the list.

Celebrate Father’s Day with Us

As if juggling a family life in the public eye isn’t hard enough, these dads ace the course of Celeb Parenting 101 too, so a round of applause is in order.
