Covid-19 – Information for Guests:

As part of the Government’s containment plan for the COVID-19 coronavirus, we have been advised to temporarily close Madame Tussauds Blackpool. The move is consistent with the closure of other leisure venues to prevent further outbreak. The closure is effective as of 20th March 2020.

We will continue to monitor the situation closely, please refer to our websites and social channels for further updates on a date when we will reopen.

Why is Madame Tussauds Blackpool closed? 

The decision to close Madame Tussauds Blackpool temporarily is based on the latest guidance from the Government in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.   

 

 When will Madame Tussauds Blackpool reopen? 

Madame Tussauds Blackpool will remain closed until further notice. We are in contact with the relevant authorities and will work to reopen the attraction to guests as soon as it’s appropriate to do so.

 

 I have a booking when the attraction is closed – what can I do? 

No action is required and you do not need to contact us to arrange your future visit. Simply arrive at the attraction and present your unused ticket(s) that show the original date (between 20th March and 30th April 2020) at our admissions desk and the team will revalidate your tickets for entry on that date. Please be aware that we may experience busier periods, check our website for updates and opening times.

 

What about if my booking is after 30th April?

Please understand that we are prioritising guests with bookings in the next few weeks. Any attraction tickets purchased for dates beyond 30th April 2020 will, at this time, be subject to regular terms and conditions. You can move your booking to another date, if you wish to move the date of your visit, please contact guest.enquiries@madame-tussauds.com 

 

 I have booked tickets for a date between 21st March and 30th April and I can’t return to the attraction during 2020, what are my options?

 Can I get a refund on my MAP? 

If you are a Merlin Annual Pass holder, you will be contacted by the Merlin Annual Pass team who will be able to advise what this means for your pass or membership to ensure that you don’t lose out because of the attractions temporary closure.
