Meet the famous martial artist, actor, and philosopher Bruce Lee at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. He became a global star through films such as Enter the Dragon (1973), Fist of Fury (Jing Wu Men), and Way of the Dragon (Meng Long Guo Jiang).
- Bruce Lee was born as Lee Jun-fan (李振藩) in 1940 in San Francisco but spent much of his childhood in Hong Kong.
- He was known for his extreme speed and precision. His movements were so fast that filmmakers sometimes had to show them in slow motion to make them clearly visible. In addition, he was able to move a 60-centimeter fighting stick in less than one second.
- His breakthrough in Hollywood came in 1964, when he was noticed by Jay Sebring, a well-known celebrity hairstylist, during the Long Beach Karate Championships. As a result, he became the first Asian American actor to play a leading role in a major Hollywood film.
- Besides his career in martial arts and film, Bruce Lee studied philosophy at the University of Washington. In his free time, he enjoyed writing poetry.
