Friday – Painting & Sittings Experience

Option A: Paint Your Sculptures

Pre-made hand sculptures required

Participants will be introduced to colour theory and learn how to mix realistic skin tones. They will then paint pre-made hand sculptures and add final details, highlights, and personal creative touches.

Option B: The Sittings Experience

Participants will learn how professional sittings are carried out at Madame Tussauds. This includes reviewing artist references, understanding maintenance files, and exploring tools and materials used in the studio. They will also take part in a hands-on studio simulation using turntables and calipers, and will receive a Studio Artist Certificate.

Saturday – Mini Maintenance: Hair & Wax Studio Skills

Participants will be introduced to figure maintenance techniques, including hair washing and styling demonstrations. They will also learn basic wax fixing methods, practice smoothing and refining wax surfaces, and gain an understanding of texture, finishing, and the upkeep of wax figures.

Sunday – Moulding & Sculpting Experience

Participants will learn sculpting fundamentals such as shapes, proportions, and structure. They will experiment with tools and techniques to begin building portrait forms, then create and refine a sculpted portrait by adding details, textures, and expressive features.
