The Darling Harbour attraction selected the superstar, who has just completed his first Australian and New Zealand headline world tour ‘Born To Shine’, based on the consistent stream of requests from local and international fans, which accelerated following his epic Coachella 2023 performance.

“Diljit’s signature style and charismatic stage presence make his concerts a celebration of culture, unity and the universal language of music that transcends boundaries! As his second figure launches on a new continent, and as Madame Tussauds Sydney’s first turbaned Sikh figure, we think this is a fitting celebration of his fan base and culture here in Australia!” said Kaylee Ryan, Madame Tussauds Sydney Studio Creative Supervisor.

From today, the global superstar will take his place as the latest permanent addition in Sydney Live, the attraction’s music zone, alongside other iconic artists, including Rihanna and Harry Styles.

Guests can marvel at his likeness and “Feel the music with Diljit Dosanjh,” joining the superstar at an interactive DJ booth, with the power to control a top-hits playlist.

His figure’s new outfit blends present day fashion with traditional symbolism. Its inspiration came from the Melbourne leg of his ‘Born To Shine’ tour last month, where he gifted the same Louis Vuitton shirt that his figure is wearing to a young fan he invited onstage. Balenciaga sneakers were selected for the self-described “sneakerhead,” and the look is finished with a silver kara bracelet, donated by Diljit, a symbol of his Sikh faith.

"I first saw Madame Tussauds while on a trip to London when I was young. Never thought I would have my own wax figure at Madame Tussauds one day!" – said Diljit Dosanjh.
