Today, Madame Tussauds Sydney is excited to welcome the youngest Hemsworth brother to the family – Liam Hemsworth! After following in his brother’s footsteps and launching his world-first wax figure with the Darling Harbour attraction, the genetically-blessed star has a special invitation for his fans in the lead up to Christmas.
From the first official day of the festive season, Liam Hemsworth will be patiently waiting under the mistletoe at Madame Tussauds Sydney for his adoring fans to plant a kiss on him! With talk of an imminent wedding with Miley Cyrus, this might be the last chance for his fans to pucker up and create a lasting memory with the Hollywood heartthrob before he’s officially off the market.
Created over the course of six months, the striking 6”3 figure is the masterpiece of 800 hours of craftsmanship, by a skilled and dedicated team of over 100 sculptors, artists and stylists from Madame Tussauds’ central studios in London. Each individual hair was inserted strand by strand, taking almost six weeks alone – and that’s not even including his beard!
“We’re thrilled to launch Liam Hemsworth and reunite him with his older brother Chris, in the new PARTY Experience at Madame Tussauds Sydney!” said Mark Connolly, General Manager at Madame Tussauds Sydney. “We’re proud of our collection of Aussie legends and we now have our second set of siblings on site. The Minogues and Hemsworths are arguably Australia’s favourite sibling duos - who we know are popular with our guests. Just don’t forget your selfie sticks – the Hemsworth brothers are very tall!”
From posing with the stars and experiencing the all-new immersive features, Madame Tussauds Sydney is open daily from 9.30am and promises start-to-finish fun for the whole family in the heart of Sydney’s CBD in Darling Harbour.
