Welcome to Wild Australia, where you’ll step into the heart of the Aussie outback. This zone brings to life the spirit of Australia’s wildlife and its most iconic conservation heroes.

As you enter, you’ll first encounter Steve Irwin, the legendary crocodile hunter. He’s standing in a wide stance, knees slightly bent, wearing his classic khaki shirt and shorts. His hands are raised as if mid-exclamation — a big grin on his face, full of energy and enthusiasm. His pose captures him in action, as if he’s about to introduce you to a new animal friend. The surface around him features tactile trees and bushes, earthy flooring and an iconic Saltwater crocodile coming from the Bridge, giving a sense of the Aussie outback.

As you cross over a bridge, just beyond Steve is his son, Robert Irwin. He’s positioned as standing, focused through a camera lens, frozen mid-photo. Draped over one outstretched arm is a tactile replica of a woma python — cool and textured to the touch, with the subtle ridges of its scales. Robert’s uniform matches his father’s, and guests are encouraged to interact by mimicking his pose or reaching out to feel the details of the snake.

Surrounding them are hints of native bushland and the sounds of the wild the call of birds, and sounds of a rushing stream nearby, creating an immersive tribute to Australia’s incredible Daintree Rainforest.

Welcome to the Making of zone, where the magic behind Madame Tussauds truly comes to life. This space invites you into the meticulous world of wax figure creation — a process that can take between six to nine months for each masterpiece.

Encapsulated within 1700s style ship interior, is Marie Tussaud herself, the remarkable woman who began it all. She’s portrayed during a powerful moment in her life — while imprisoned during the French Revolution. Her expression is calm yet resilient, dressed in period clothing that hints at the challenges she endured. Her hands are gently placed on a wax model of a severed head — the head of a royal figure she once knew personally, The sculpted head is smooth and cold to the touch, a haunting but deeply historical element that tells of Marie’s extraordinary past.

Surrounding her are tactile displays where you can explore the figure-making process — touchable moulds, strands of real hair used for insertion, and examples of the glass eyes that give each figure its lifelike gaze. Each prop is textured and designed to be explored by hand.

This is a space of detail and discovery. Guests are invited to pause, explore, and connect with the craftsmanship that makes Madame Tussauds truly unique.
