There’s no denying the unparalleled gleam of Filipino talent, and Madame Tussauds Hong Kong continues to recognize just this in its hallowed halls. This year, we’re proud to welcome yet another exceptional personality to join the famed attraction; none other than multimedia superstar Anne Curtis.

One of the most successful acts of her time, Anne will make history as the first Filipino actress and TV host to grace Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s “Hong Kong Glamour Zone”. Her figure will be placed in the same area as Hollywood bigwigs like Nicole Kidman, Robert Pattinson, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and Chris Hemsworth.

Anne’s acting career traces a dazzling trajectory with a myriad of successful movies and iconic TV shows in her name, including Hiram, Dyosa, Mars Ravelo’s Dyesebel, No Other Woman, and Sid & Aya: A Love Story. She’s won over 60 awards for her work and has been recognized by major Filipino award-giving bodies like the FAMAS Awards and the Gawad Urian Awards.

She is also a constant in the Filipino consciousness as a host on It’s Showtime, the longest-running variety show of ABS-CBN. An entrepreneur and philanthropist in partnership with UNICEF Philippines, Anne’s influence extends outside of acting and hosting, too, leading Forbes Asia to name her one of the top 100 digital stars in the Asia-Pacific region.

In culmination of her long career, this 2023, Anne is celebrating her 25th year in the showbiz industry, making this milestone even more meaningful to the actress. “I’m so happy it came at the right time,” said Anne. “It truly is an honour. To have this dream come true, I’m grateful and very thankful to Madame Tussauds for choosing me.”

Anne’s wax figure will feature her in an iconic and familiar pose that’s sure to draw interaction from the viewing public. Her outfit, on the other hand, will exude a classic look meant to stand the test of time as her likeness is immortalized in the attraction.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong has definitely become a top choice among all attractions in Hong Kong for Filipinos and tourists from all over the world because of the fun, immersive, and interactive experience it offers, allowing guests to pose next to their favourite celebrities as if they are shooting a scene. At Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, sky’s the limit when interacting with your favourite stars. Unlike most attractions, here guests can snap unlimited photos, be crowned as the next Miss Universe with Pia Wurztbach and Catriona Gray or box together with boxing champ Manny Pacquiao.

"We’re happy to see the influx of Filipino tourists visiting Hong Kong every year. Hong Kong as a top destination and we believe it’s important to continuously give them something to look forward to, and this is, why we at Madame Tussauds are always delighted to recognize Filipino talent in our attraction,” says Wade Chang, General Manager of Midway Hong Kong, Merlin Entertainments.

Madame Tussauds Hong Kong’s skilled team of sculptors from the UK are currently working on the much-anticipated figure, with production projected to run and set to be unveiled by end of 2024.

“Coming to the sitting I thought they’ll be going to plaster my whole body and I had to stay completely still, lay down like a mummy… but it turned out to be so easy! I only had to stay still while they take 360° photos and measurements of me. The skill they’ve used to measure me was so impressive,” shares Anne.
