Madame Tussauds New York celebrated International Women’s Day by launching its first-ever figure of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel! As Captain Marvel was an officer in the United States Air Force, it was SO fitting to host the reveal in partnership with the iconic Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum for the unveiling of her figure on International Women’s Day, March 8th 2019.

Captain Marvel, a former US Air Force pilot, struck a powerful pose in front of the New York City skyline before “landing” at Madame Tussauds New York today.

“Today, first and foremost, we’re excited to celebrate International Women’s Day and women who embody strength, bravery and achievement celebrated globally today, and every day,” said Christine Haughney, regional head of marketing at ‎Merlin Entertainments, plc.

“We can’t wait for fans to see and feel the presence of Captain Marvel on screen and in person at Madame Tussauds and hope her character inspires fearless females all around the world.”

Starting today, visitors to Madame Tussauds New York can take flight with Captain Marvel as they soar through the skies in an interactive experience within the attraction’s Marvel Super Hero Zone.

Captain Marvel joins an action-packed line-up of Super Heroes at Madame Tussauds New York that includes The Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Spider-Man and more. The Marvel Super Hero Zone also features the Marvel Super Heroes 4D film experience with thrilling special effects, including wind, water, smell and more.
