Madame Tussauds Hong Kong officially unveiled the wax figure of Filipino superstar Kathryn Bernardo at the Glorietta Activity Center in Makati on July 9, 2026, welcoming her into the famed attraction’s collection of remarkably lifelike figures of the world’s biggest legends. The highly anticipated launch gave Kathryn’s lucky fans a rare opportunity to come face-to-face with their idol and her stunning wax twin during its official debut.
More than a wax figure attraction, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong is an interactive destination where global talent is recognised and celebrated. Visitors can easily explore immersive themed zones, including the Hong Kong Glamour Zone, Fashion Zone, Music Icon, K-Wave Zone, and more, posing and interacting alongside the wax likeness of award-winning celebrities, cultural icons, and legendary personalities for a truly star-studded experience.
Kathryn Bernardo is the fifth Filipino to be immortalised in the attraction, joining an esteemed roster that includes beauty queens Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray, People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao, and award-winning actress and host Anne Curtis.
“We recognise true Filipino talent that shines through different industries and categories! From pageants, sports, TV, and even film. We can attest to the fact that Filipino talents and their supporters really are something else, so we do our best to continue growing this relationship and reach more Filipino audiences in our attraction,” Gateway Hong Kong, Merlin Entertainments General Manager Wade Chang shares during the launch event.
Kathryn Bernardo is one of the Philippines’ most celebrated homegrown talents. She began her career as a child star in 2003, and over the past two decades, she has built an unrivaled career in film and television, earning the admiration of the whole nation. She is best known for her blockbuster films, including “The Hows of Us,” “A Very Good Girl,” and “Hello, Love, Goodbye,” which was a film set in Hong Kong, the same city where her newest wax replica will be displayed.
These titles sold billions worldwide and cemented her status as one of the biggest stars of her generation. Her performances have also earned critical acclaim, including the Best Actress award at the 72nd FAMAS Awards in 2024. Beyond acting, she is the face of countless local and international brands trusted and loved by Filipino households.
The grand unveiling brought together Kathryn's family, close friends from the entertainment industry, media partners, excited fans from the Philippines, and supporters who even flew in from around the globe, as the first ones to witness the much-anticipated reveal. Following the launch, the venue was then opened to the public, giving visitors the chance to admire the figure up close before it makes its permanent home at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
The wax figure recreates Kathryn's look from the 2023 Outstanding Asian Star Awards in Seoul, capturing the moment she received the honour. Every intricate detail of her wax clone was precisely replicated by Madame Tussauds’ team of expert artists and sculptors to show Kathryn’s natural beauty, elegance, and charm. Her “Kath-twin” is dressed in the original gown designed by Filipino Designer Martin Bautista, the same ensemble Kathryn wore during the prestigious awards ceremony. This milestone was chosen as the inspiration for Kathryn’s wax likeness, commemorating one of her defining moments as she represented the Philippines on an international stage. It is an ode to her growing international recognition and the pride she continues to bring to Filipino audiences, making it a fitting tribute as she claims the platform set for her by Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
“My wax figure is a reminder that big dreams are valid, and Filipino talent belongs on the global stage. At the end of the day, I’m just so proud to be here as a Filipina, and I hope it makes everyone feel the same about who we are and what we can do,” shares Kathryn Bernardo on what this achievement means for her and for her Filipino supporters.
Sparking Filipino pride for her fans and the whole country, Kathryn Bernardo's Kath-twin will be displayed starting July 17 at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong, where it will join an impressive lineup of international icons and superstars. Fans can take photos, interact, and create memorable moments with Asia’s Superstar, now closer than ever before, thanks to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
