Behind-the-scenes photos of making Robert Pattinson’s wax figure unveiled

To whet Thai fans’ appetites even more for its brand new wax figure, Madame Tussauds Bangkok unveils never-before-seen photos of the making of the clay model of the British star, Robert Pattinson, who is going to join the ranks of the A-List celebrities at the top attraction.

According to reports, the figure took four months and a team of 20 dedicated sculptors to create at a cost of 150,000 pounds or about 7,400,000 baht. Over 500 precise body measurements are required before other work on the figure can begin, real head hairs are inserted one by one, and countless layers of paints and tints are applied to build up skin tones – all to achieve the kind of astonishing realism that has kept Madame Tussauds world renowned.

Residing in a specially created VIP section of Madame Tussauds’ A-List party area, Pattinson’s wax figure will join a host of other top celebrities including screen superstars like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Attention all Robert Pattinson’s fans, you can touch, hug, kiss and take a photo with him for a limited period of time as the figure will be exhibited at Madame Tussauds Bangkok, 6th floor of Siam Discovery until the end of April.
