Madame Tussauds Hollywood is a wax museum located on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hollywood and has welcomed over 10 million visitors since it opened in 2009. The museum features life-size wax figures of celebrities, historical figures, and fictional characters. Madame Tussauds Hollywood opened on July 23, 2009. It was the ninth Madame Tussauds wax museum to open in the United States, and the 21st in the world. Madame Tussauds Hollywood is one of six locations in the United States, with sister wax museums in New York City, Las Vegas, Nashville, Orlando, and San Francisco.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood is divided into several themed sections, including:

  • Hollywood Classics: This section features wax figures of celebrities who have been honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or who have starred in some of the most iconic films ever produced in Hollywood Guests can take selfies with James Dean, sip tea with Audrey Hepburn, or practice acting with Clark Gable, amongst many other famous, classic Hollywood stars.
  • Making Movies: This section features wax figures of famous movie stars, directors, scenes and characters from movies such as Grease, Forrest Gump, Rocky, Edward ScissorHands, and Kill Bill: Volume 1, just to name a few. Guests can get behind the camera and stand up close and personal with their favorite directors, such as Steven Spielberg and Quentin Tarentino. 
  • Music Room: This section is one of the newest exhibits in the wax museum and features wax figures of famous musicians and singers from across the decades, including modern artists like Harry Styles, Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber.  Guests can dance to their favorite throwbacks and classics while taking selfies with Michael Jackson, Madonna, and Snoop Dogg. 
  • A-List: This section features wax figures of some of the most famous celebrities of the modern era. Where else can you go to take a picture with Leonardo DiCaprio, Angela Bassett, and Ariana Grande  Marvel 4D Experience: This is an exclusive Marvel 4D interactive experience that invites visitors to feel like they are part of a Marvel movie that takes place right on Hollywood Boulevard. Guests can join their favorite Marvel characters, like Thor, Spider-Man, Hulk, and Captain America, for a special mission to battle Loki in a bid to save the world, all while experiencing wind-chilling, water-soaking, and face-flinching special effects.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood is home to over 120 wax figures! Wax figures at this location range from classic Hollywood stars like Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, and Clark Gable; Los Angeles sports icons like Kobe Bryant; modern-day celebs like Leonardo DiCaprio, Angela Bassett, and Zac Efron; and music stars like Harry Styles, Elton John, and Taylor Swift. 

Madame Tussauds Hollywood has more than just wax figures, though! Each figure is carefully placed into an interactive photo opp, transporting guests from the streets of Hollywood to moments on the big screen. Where else can you sit in a convertible on the set of Grease with Danny Zuko? Or share a box of chocolates with Forrest Gump himself? 

The first wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood was that of Marilyn Monroe. The latest wax figure is that of Harry Styles. Harry Styles’ wax figure is one of seven that recently launched throughout the globe. Madame Tussauds Hollywood joined up with its London, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, Sidney, and Singapore counterparts to launch Harry’s latest figures, celebrating the international artist’s success since his orginal wax figure as a member of the teen pop sensation, One Direction.

Madame Tussauds Hollywood welcomes new wax figures into its attraction every year. This year, the location will launch three more wax figures, and 2024 is looking to be a jam-packed year of celebrity wax excitement! .

The largest Madame Tussauds is located in London, England. It has over 250 wax figures on display. Madame Tussauds London has over eight different zones, including Music, Awards Party, Royals, Marvel, Star Wars, Culture, Sports, and Film, ensuring that every guest is bound to see a celebrity they know and love.
