Nichkhun arrives at Madame Tussauds Bangkok
The world’s first wax likeness of “Nichkhun”
Madame Tussauds Bangkok launches the world’s first wax likeness of “Nichkhun” –Thai superstar heartthrob of international fame.
The world’s best loved wax attraction Madame Tussauds unveils the first wax figure of the famed 2PM Korean boyband member Nichkhun Horvejkul at the Bangkok site to wow all of his Thai fans, with K-Pop Queen Wanwan Pawarisa leading the talk on the so called “Kimchi Fever”. Countless fans of Nichkhun attended the launch event at Madame Tussauds Bangkok on the 6th Floor of Siam Discovery Center on Tuesday November 29th.
Nichkhun is the first and the only Thai person to have passed the stringent audition process of JYP Entertainment –the same label as Korea’s superstar Rain. From his initial role as one of the six members of the Korean boyband 2PM, Nichkhun has expanded his entertainment career to cover acting, modeling and show hosting. He has countless awards to his credit and is now among top ten most famous foreign actors in South Korea according to the rating of MBC. His greatest pride, however, is his appointment to the role of Tourism Authority of Thailand presenter for the “Come to Thailand: Let’s Take a Break” program where South Korean travelers are encouraged to visit his home country.
With the global fame of Nichkhun, his unquestionable career success and the reputation he has earned for Thailand, Madame Tussauds Bangkok felt it was only fitting to yield to the demand of his Thai fans and create his first wax likeness just in time to cap the year.
Despite being prevented by his packed schedule from physically attending this launch, Nichkhun has made a video to share his thoughts with his Thai fans, saying “I am most honored to have a wax figure of myself on display at Madame Tussauds. I hope it will come in handy as a stand-in for myself so I will not be too missed.” Also present on Nichkhun’s behalf was the Horvejkul family consisting of the heartthrob’s father, mother and sister and the K-Pop Queen Wanwan Pawarisa Penchart who led the talk on the popularity of Korean artists or the so called “Kimchi Fever” which, by default, includes the persistently charming Nichkhun from Thailand. The event concluded in the unveiling of the first Nichkhun Horvejkul wax figure, garbed in his very own suit from Korea, in the Music Zone.
