He is named after the artist Leonardo da Vinci, as his pregnant mother was standing in front of a da Vinci painting the first time she felt him kick. At the age of only 19 Leonardo DiCaprio received an Oscar® and Golden Globe® nomination for Best Supporting Actor in What's Eating Gilbert Grape (1993). Leonardo DiCaprio has been one of the most famous and most convertible actors.
  • His role in Titanic (1997) alongside Kate Winslet, led him to superstardom and Leonardo has since starred in some of Hollywood’s biggest films including The Aviator (2004), The Departed (2006), and Revolutionary Road (2008).
