Cristiano Ronaldo already in Austria - made of wax!
- Tuesday 27th May 2025
- Madame Tussauds
This is the first time that the world footballer, who plays for the Saudi Arabian football club al-Nassr FC, has been in Vienna. Although he already took part in EURO 2008, all of his matches were played in Switzerland at the time. The fact that he is making his first guest appearance at Madame Tussauds in Vienna is due to the huge demand from his fans, who are keen to see him.
"Ronaldo is extremely popular in our guest surveys, which is why we are honoured to welcome an absolute superstar for a limited time. This loan is sure to make some football hearts beat faster," says Lukas Rauscher, Marketing Manager of Madame Tussauds Vienna.
But beware: The Portuguese footballer, who comes from the sister attraction in Budapest, can only be seen in the Vienna Prater for a very short time. Until next Wednesday, 4 June, he can be visited in the sports area next to David Alaba and Hans Krankl. So fans will have to be quick to get a coveted selfie with him.
To get an impression of the Viennese football scene, Wachs-Ronaldo decided to pay a short visit to the Ernst Happel Stadium before arriving at the Prater.
The figure is wearing a classic Portuguese national team jersey with the famous number 7. Six months were spent working on the figure in London to make him as lifelike as possible.
Cristiano Ronaldo - only on show at the Prater until 4 June. Tickets can be booked HERE.
